The View from Our Room<\/p><\/div>\n

Greetings from sunny Los Angeles!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have come here for a few days for reasons known and unknown.\u00a0 As usual the unknown is slowly revealing itself to me.<\/p>\n

I am feeling intense joy today on the path of living my Vision.\u00a0 And I am doing just that\u2026living my Vision.\u00a0 You see LA is\u00a0a very big part of my story. It was the quest of my Vision that first brought me out here in 1993.\u00a0 I came out here to attend graduate school (in Clinical Psychology) but the underlying\u00a0attraction of LA and why I was drawn\u00a0here was because I saw this as a place where people flouted convention, instead choosing to follow their passions and to, as I call it, live from the inside out.\u00a0 I always sensed that there was a spirit of adventure and entrepreneurship here and that excited me.\u00a0 I wanted this. Did I find what I came for back then?\u00a0 Yes, actually I did and so much more. The \u201cmore\u201d is a story for another time.<\/p>\n

So today I am in LA for two reasons (that I know of); 1) to spend a few days focusing on my Visions work i.e. writing my book,\u00a0preparing for our first Women\u2019s Vision Quest Retreat<\/strong> <\/a>(Oct. 23-25 in Berkeley Springs, WV), and 2) to spend time with the man I am in love with. I mention this second reason, although not the focus of this blog, because it is a very important\u00a0aspect of my life\u2019s Vision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before beginning work today I just wanted to write this post to share this moment.\u00a0 One aspect of living a successful life is to share our stories with others.\u00a0 For me this means sharing the struggles and the triumphs.\u00a0 What follows is an excerpt from my personal journal in which\u00a0I attempt, as best as I can, to\u00a0capture my feelings in this moment.<\/p>\n

8.26.09<\/strong> \u201cGood morning G*d\/G*ddess. Thanks for waking me up this morning and thanks for all the blessings in my life. I am bursting with joy\u2026forgot how much I love LA. This place is a huge part of my story.\u00a0I\u2019m a bit too overwhelmed by memory to capture it on paper, but it has to do with realized and unrealized dreams in this city and with my Visions that are now being born.\u00a0 My tears have to do with being so young, happy and free when I was here. They also have to do with being so connected to my Higher Power and to being in love with _______.\u00a0 The tears are especially about my dreams having come true and being so acutely aware of this.\u00a0 I am now living the life I always dreamed of\u2026adventure, love, doing the work I love.\u00a0 Something has come over me\u2026acute happiness, coming full circle. I\u2019m in a state of suspended animation\u2026in a bubble of such intense clarity\u00a0pregnant with joy and wonder at it all.\u00a0 I am so overwhelmed and have no idea what to do with all this bliss.\u00a0 I can only do what the voice in the\u00a0dream I had in Paris told me to do\u2026\u2019expand into the joy.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

I close this entry by expressing my desire to never move from this spot, but of course that is not the nature of life\u2026so I will move on and try to take up the work of the day.\u00a0 As always I will report on my progress later.<\/p>\n

Until then I wish you continued success and well being.<\/p>\n
